Jeff Kingsbury has been a consistent and excellent advocate for the low-income citizens of Thurston County. While serving as the Olympia representative to the Thurston County HOME Consortium Jeff has personally ensured that all available funding is spent in a wise and timely fashion. During his tenure over 4.9 million dollars have been allocated to improve the conditions of our County’s less fortunate, this stands in stark contrast to the funding awarded prior to Councilmen Kingsbury’s appointment to the Consortium. This critical funding has meant the difference between the street and a warm place for a desperate family. This funding has also allowed numerous Habitat partner families to enjoy the dream of home ownership, something that our County’s hardworking poor both deserve and need to make their lives stable, secure and ultimately successful. Speaking for the numerous families whose lives our program touches I certainly appreciate, not only the work, but the solution focused thoughtfulness that Mr. Kingsbury brings to every discussion.
